Welcome to Eureka Springs launch parties

Pick your launch party

I am thrilled to announce two official launch events for Welcome to Eureka Springs: The I-Sh*t-You-Not History of America’s Quirkiest Town.

The print and ebook editions launch Saturday, August 29. From 4-6PM, I’ll be at Main Street Eureka Springs, 125 Spring St, by Mojo Records. I’ll read my chapters about the springs’ most famous cure, the Basin Park Hotel’s 1950s speakeasy, and the anarchist hippie biker the town elected mayor (twice). I’ll also tell some delicious anecdotes that didn’t make the book for space reasons.

A black-and-white print edition and the ebook will be available online. A special edition with color photographs and premium paper will be available only from locations in town, including Main Street Eureka Springs.

The audiobook edition launches Sunday, August 30. From 3-5PM, I’ll be at the Gravel Bar, 216 W Van Buren. I’ll play the audiobook chapters about the 1922 bank robbery, Norman Baker’s infamous house of horrors, Willie Nelson’s favorite pot dealer, and the city’s first Pride event. I’ll also talk about some interesting aspect behind each chapter.

Both events are free (even better, with free snacks). Join me at either or both, to get a signed copy or just have a little fun!

Don't miss out!
